Waxing/Sugaring done consistently will change your hair! It will come in sparser, finer & slower the longer you stick with it. Shaving cuts off the hair leaving stubble & feels prickly when growing in. It also can cause skin sensitivity & increase ingrowns. Plus, it doesn't change the thickness or quantity of hair. 

Let it grow! Exfoliate a few times a week. Moisturize daily. No tanning 24 hours before/after. Let us know about any topical products that contain retinols/AHAs and all medications. Take a deep breath. We have seen it all, we don't judge & we promise to be professional, efficient & thorough.  

Hair needs to be 1/4-1/2 inch for best waxing/sugaring results. Typically this is at least 2 weeks from last shave.   

This varies depending on the area waxed/sugared but you can expect to be hair-free for a minimum of 1-2 weeks. Underarms typically have a few hairs coming back week 2, Brazilians typically it will be week 3. New hairs are just that, new! So they have a soft tip & do not feel like stubble coming in.   

Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Most clients chat with us like we are out having coffee. But, let's be honest, we are pulling hair out from it's root. And you feel a short, stinging sensation after each pull. The good news is, it's short-lived discomfort. When you leave you have had a soothing cream applied & your skin is so smooth. If you are consistent with your waxing/sugaring the discomfort is greatly reduced too because there is less hair & thinner hair

Absolutely! We recommend coming 3 times before your wedding or special event. This ensures that you know how your skin reacts & you won't have to stress about the results. Smooth & confident is our goal. 

It is normal for your skin to be a little sensitive after hair removal. Any redness  or bumps should subside within 24 hours. Give your skin a break and avoid tanning/sun, hot baths, heavy creams and exfoliation for 48 hours after your service. Avoid sweating through exercise or hanky panky (especially after a brazilian) to keep bacteria out. Don't touch that razor. You have broken up with it!

Keep your skin hydrated. & gently exfoliate a few days a week. This will help the hairs to push through the skin. There are a variety of products including scrubs, exfoliating mitts/pads, & ingrown hair inhibitor serums or wipes to help reduce this condition. We love Sweet & True Smoothing Serum and Hydrate & Heal Balm!

Yes. Just be aware that the increased hormones may cause you to be more sensitive. For Brazilian services please wear a tampon or cup.

Please let us know if you are taking any of these! They increase how fast your skin exfoliates which raises the chance of removing skin. Many other medications, especially those that thin your blood or make you sensitive to sunlight may be contraindications. Here are some common ones that we need to be made aware of: Adapalene, Avita, Tazorac Avage, Proactiv, Differin, Strivect 

Yes. Let's face it, it is hard or impossible to reach and we need help! And it happens right when we have to have someone looking there all the time.  We will tilt the table so you do not have to lay flat and otherwise position you comfortably. Just be aware that changing hormones and increased blood flow may cause more sensitivity. We recommend starting before your 3rd trimester but can do the service at any time during your pregnancy.

For body waxing/sugaring services we ask that no one else be in the treatment room. All other services it is up to the discretion of the client. Minors may be accompanied by a parent/guardian for any service. We also request that services not be recorded. 

We perform Brazilians on anyone 16+ with female anatomy! Razor burns, itching and stubble from razors affect us all.

Anyone 16 or 17 must have parent come in and sign a paper intake form.

Yes. But only because we care. We know you are sick of that hair. but you need to know the ins and outs of laser hair removal before you jump in. We need to ensure, based on your medical history, that it is safe for you to get laser hair removal. When expectations are clear and all questions are answered you will be a more satisfied customer. No worries, the cost goes towards your first laser treatment. 

Tip: If you want to start your laser series the day of your consult, shave the day before. Let us know when you book your consult and we will block out more time for you! 

The laser uses a light beam to target the pigment (melanin) in the hair. This creates heat which travels down the hair shaft, damaging the hair follicle and destroying its growth. Surrounding tissue is not damaged. Hair has three stages of growth and all hair in the active stage at the time of treatment will be destroyed. The hair will slowly start to fall out and the roots that have been destroyed in that session will not produce another hair. 

This be be discussed further during your consult. Treatment is conducted every 2-4 weeks on the face, and 4-8 weeks on the body. The required number of treatments varies, but usually 6-8 are needed for optimum results. Following that, touch-up treatments are required for most clients: typically 1 treatment, 6 months after a course, and then another 6 months following that. This is because a percentage of hair on your body will be dormant throughout your laser sessions and therefore will not be hit with the laser.   

The laser can only kill the hairs that are being actively fed by your body (in the anagen phase). Since your hairs are in different stages of their growth cycle, not all are being fed at once. Each time you come in we get new hairs that have entered the optimal growth stage.. They say patience is a virtue. 

Yes, after your hair has grown for a month after hair removal. No reason to pay for laser without hairs that can be treated!

Nothing is perfect. The Laser included. It sees dark hairs really well. If you have brown or black hair the laser is for you. But the laser does NOT work on red, blonde or grey hair, it just does not see them. 

Yes! We will find where you lie on the Fitzpatrick Scale (technical way to determine your skin tone) during your consultation. This will determine what setting the laser can safely be set on for your treatments. We can laser skin that is very pale all the way to a rich, deep brown. 

The laser has a built in freeze technology, so the treated skin area is cooled down to 41 Fahrenheit. The treatment is not painful. However in some sensitive areas the treatment can feel like an elastic band snapping against the skin. The good news is, it is faster and feels better than waxing/sugaring.

• Anyone who has eczema on the area to be treated
• Anyone who has epilepsy, lupus or porphyria
• Anyone who has active herpes on the area to be treated
• Pregnant women or women who are planning pregnancy
• Anyone who has vitiligo spots on the area to be treated
• A women who has given birth within the past month or is currently breastfeeding
• A person who is prone to the formation of keloids
• Anyone suffering from a tumor disease
• A person taking anticoagulants
• A person who has taken some kind of medicine for acne within the 6 months before the treatment
• We cannot laser over a tattoo. The tattoo can be covered and the area around it treated. 

After each Laser Hair Removal treatment, you are likely to experience some redness, tingling and possibly some heat bumps on the treatment area. This is a sign of a successful treatment and usually subsides within a few hours. A few people experience itching some days later as the hair is pushed out. Stronger reactions are rare, but side effects can include blistering and hyper/hypopigmentation. This risk is greatly reduced when clients follow aftercare instructions and do not tan prior to and after treatments.
